Meet The Team
Our experienced and forward thinking team
Nigel Stubley
Managing Director
Having spent the first 20 years in the Food industry, the last 10 working for and running my own companies, Northend was bought on a whim driven more by geography than strategic vision.
And that was 25 years ago and it’s fair to say that the dynamic nature and constant change within the industry provides the challenge that is stimulating, even during a pandemic!
Outside of Clyde Road, you’ll generally find my outside. I’m lucky enough to live on the edge of the Peak National Park so the lure of walking and biking is strong and the garden never stops growing, so there’s always something to be done there. And, of course, plenty of pubs with good food to enjoy, The Prince of Wales in Baslow being my favourite.
Ian McCloskey
Sales Director
Starting in reprographics at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court in 1997 the week after my 17th birthday, I have now been in the industry over 20 years. In 2014 I was involved in setting up Sheffield’s newest printer, MyPrintPartners with Richard Green. 5 years later we merged with J.W. Northend and moved in to the Northend site on Clyde Road.
I love print and I’m often caught by friends checking out printed materials from books to bar menus; you can’t beat the smell of a freshly printed book. I love customers more than print and put them at the centre of everything, I’m happiest most when turning “No” in to “Yes”. Outside of Clyde Road, I spend time with my 2 English Bulldogs, Cuthbert & Humphrey, they like nothing more than a walk to the local pub to enjoy a carvery, it would be rude not to have a pint or two while they eat, wouldn’t it?
Favourite Pantone Colour: PMS 159 – Northend orange, obviously.
Richard Green
Production Director
Following in the inky footprints of my dad, I started in print at the age of 15. After working at several Sheffield based printers, in 1993 I was involved in setting up ProCo and in 2014 set up MyPrintPartners with Ian. In 2019 MyPrint merged with Northend Creative Print Solutions to become Northend – A Full Service Print House.
I love buying kit and I’m always on the lookout for the next must have toy.
Outside of Northend, I enjoy playing golf, watching football and a Sheffield United supporter.
Favourite PMS colour: Black 4

Initially applying for a job without any experience or knowledge I have somehow managed to work in the print industry for over 35 years.
With reprographic, estimating, customer service, account management experience, i have gained in-depth knowledge of print and finishing processes, enabling clients to make decisions on best use of services.
Outside of the office I am a FA Qualified Football Coach & Referee and spend most weekends supporting my local football team Stocksbridge Park Steels both on the pitch and with beer in hand off
My favourite Pantone is Fluro 804 (makes me smile)

Account Manager
I have always worked in a customer service role since leaving school at 17 but started work in the print industry in 2007.
I joined My Print Partners in May 2018 before merging with Northend in May 2019. When I am not at work I love to eat out, Italian being my favourite and enjoy spending time with family and friends especially summer BBQs. If it involves food and wine I’m there, my nick name is “rent-a-do”!
I also love music and going to live gigs, I’ve been a huge Bon Jovi fan since the age of 15.
My favourite PMS colour is 319c as it reminds me of the colour of the ocean, where I would love to one day swim with the turtles.
Richard Worth
Account Manager
After training in graphic design, I spent my early career crafting design for print – bringing flair and care to anything from a humble leaflet to the glossiest brochure.
Somewhere along the way I decided to break out from behind the drawing board and away from the Spray Mount fumes, stumbling into sales discovering my real passion…talking to and helping clients deliver their message, build their brand, win their customers through eye-catching and hardworking print.
I joined Northend, for a fresh challenge, working with a ‘legend’ of the northern print scene, bringing 40 years’ experience with me and a strong reputation for care and attention to detail, a highly professional approach and outstanding customer service. Being a keen follower of Formula 1 and a love of anything on four wheels. One of my favourite places is Whitby where I spend my time pursuing my favourite hobbies – Steampunk & drinking. [🧐]
Favourite Pantone Colour: PMS 3165 Petrol Blue.
Stef Oldfield
Account Manager
It was 1986 when I was asked if I would like 2 weeks print finishing work for a local firm, over 35 years later I am still in the industry. From finishing work to guillotine operator, printer to production manager and finally a move to the safe haven of the sales office where I am enjoying moving forward as part of larger team.
I support the Owls for my sins and have substituted playing football for the ups and downs of horse racing.
When I’m not in The Shire, I enjoy nothing more than a pint (my precious) on a Friday afternoon with family, friends, anyone really….I’m a social butterfly.
Favourite Pantone colour – Black 7c
Barry Vincent

Born in Birmingham, came to Sheffield in 1978 to study for a degree in Product Design at the then City Polytechnic and never left.
I was an archaeological illustrator and freelance graphic designer before deciding that I’d better get a proper job, working in sales and account management for various Sheffield/Chesterfield print companies joining, Northend as an Account Manager in January 2000 after the millennium bug failed to delete my CV.
Hobbies/interests outside of work:
The arts and music. I used to run but now I walk.
Favourite PMS colour: Pantone 448C – often referred to as ‘the ugliest colour in the world’. You’ve got to love an underdog.
